What does PDF2.in cost?
The 20+ utility tools — merge, split, compress, convert, sign and more — are free, with no account and no limits. The one paid feature is the text editor: downloading an edited PDF costs a small one-off fee per document, or a small fee for a week pass with unlimited PDFs for 7 days. Editing and previewing are free, and nothing renews.
Can I edit a PDF without the original Word or design file?
Yes. Upload the PDF and edit the text directly — no Acrobat, Word or Canva needed. The editor detects each line’s font, size and colour and reuses them, so only the words you change are rewritten.
Are my files safe and private?
It depends on the tool. Most tools run entirely in your browser, so those files never leave your device. A few need a server to work: compress, PDF↔Word conversion, lock/unlock and the text editor. For those, your file is encrypted in transit, processed, and deleted right after.
Can it edit a scanned PDF?
Only real, selectable text can be edited. For a scan, run it through the free PDF to OCR tool first to add a text layer.
Do I need to install anything?
