How to merge PDF files into one

Putting several PDFs into one file takes under a minute. The merge runs inside your browser, so your documents are never uploaded anywhere.

Steps

  1. 1

    Open the Merge PDF tool

Go to the Merge PDF page. There is nothing to install and no account to create.

  2. 2

    Add your PDF files

Drop them onto the page or choose them from your device. You can add as many as you need.

  3. 3

    Put them in order

Drag the files up or down. The pages are joined in exactly the order you see on screen.

  4. 4

    Merge and download

Press merge, then download the single combined PDF.

Tips

  • Check the order before you merge

The order on screen is the order in the result, so a quick look saves doing it twice.

  • Need only some pages?

Use the Split tool first to pull out the pages you want, then merge those.

  • Large result?

If the merged file is too big to email, run it through Compress PDF afterwards.

Questions

Are my files uploaded when I merge them?

No. Merging happens in your browser, so the files stay on your device.

Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?

There is no sign-up and no daily limit. Very large files depend on your device's memory.

Does merging change how the pages look?

No. Pages are copied as they are, so text, images and layout stay the same.
